It’s time retrieve awards: Mundus Vini for Cantine De Gregorio

Two other medals have been added to our wall of awards. This time the winners are Le Stranizze Rosé Brut and Magarìa Chardonnay, both awarded silver medal.

Le Stranizze Rosé Brut is the newest arrival among De Gregorio’s labels and this is its very first medal. However, it has already given us reasons to be proud of in several aspects.
Its light pink color, its delicate perlage and fruity and graceful aroma have been appreciated ever since we opened the first bottle.
Even Sommelier Luigi Salvo judged both our spumante wines from Le Stranizze line «outstandingly fresh delivering well their variety».

Magarìa Chardonnay, historical De Gregorio wine, keeps on enchanting year after year barrique-enthusiats and has been awarded twice already: Bronze medal at Decanter World Wine Award and gold medal at Merano Wine Hunter.
It has also been the main character of the Vertical tasting recently held here at the winery.

The Vertical Tasting

Mundus Vini, where we already collected a few medals in the past, is one of the most renown wine competitions in the World and brings in about 11.000 fine wines each year with the aim of promoting wine quality on the one hand and to offer guidance to the consumer on the other. Tastings are held twice a year, during summer (in August) and during Spring (in February) as a preview of trade shows like Prowein.
Wines are tasted by a jury of experts beteewn Sommelier, wine makers, journalists and so on that analyse the anonymus bottles of the various contender wineries.

Our goal is to fill the whole wall with medals like these. Not merely to collect good grades though, but to exeed our limits and keep on improving every day.
